A Business In The Community (BITC) initiative, ARC???s aim is to use the excitement of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games to connect businesses and social enterprises. The objective is to create an additional 1000 jobs by 2015. The concept behind BITC???s ARC is something the team at MyKindaCrowd has always admired, and to be given the opportunity to not only present the MyKindaCrowd vision to ARC, but then to be shortlisted for their Olympic Legacy Programme was something that filled us all with a hugh amount of pride.
The presentations were held at Ravensbourne College of Design and Communication: a purpose built, state of the art building. If this inspirational setting wasn???t enough, the College is located just 25 metres away from the world famous o2 arena.
We at MyKindaCrowd have aspirations to change the way companies around the world connect with students. We also know that to achieve this goal we will need help along the way, so opportunities to gain recognition, support and guidance by being involved with programmes such as this one are incredibly important to us. Luckily, the ARC team are great! Matt, Nick and Anish were all full of enthusiasm and we felt they really understood our concept ??? levelling the playing-field for young people in connecting with the world of world and business.
Joining ARC would give MyKindaCrowd a tremendous boost. The programme provides support ranging from presentation space, through to hands-on-help, connections, a raised profile and expert guidance. All we can do is cross our fingers and hope we did enough to get selected! Watch this space ??? the announcement will be made in June!
