Chair of the South Westminster Learning & Employability Network awarded MBE | Pimlico People

June O’Sullivan, The Chief Executive of the London Early Years Foundation (LEYF) who is also Chair of the South Westminster Learning & Employability Network, was awarded an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours for services to children in London.
On being awarded the MBE, June said: “I am thrilled to receive this magnificent honour, especially for doing something that I love and care so passionately about. I have spent my career working to improve the lives of children in London and to be recognised in this way is quite overwhelming.”
June O’Sullivan is an inspiring speaker and regular commentator on Early Years, Social Enterprise, Child Poverty and Social Mobility, and has been instrumental in achieving a major strategic and cultural shift for the award winning London Early Years Foundation (LEYF), where she has been Chief Executive since 2005.
She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, Director of Early arts, Trustee for the National Day Nursery Association and Chair of Paddington Farm Trust. A a published author, she has an MA in Primary & Early Childhood Studies and MBA from London South Bank University. The London Early Years Foundation is the UK’s leading childcare charitable social enterprise. It operates 24 nurseries, and helps 1500+ children yearly.
